Induction week at UEA

Well the induction week went well at UEA. It was great to meet so many people who had such diverse backgrounds all with a common aim of becomming a teacher. It was fantastic to be surrounded by people who really got why I wanted to become a teacher instead of viewing it as a bizarre thing for me to do, although I must point out my lovely Husband Si has been very supportive of the idea (and not just because I will be earning again...)

I feel totally over whelmed with info and learning theories etc but excited and can't wait to start on Thursday. Although the sheer amount of work (assignments, Portfolios, QTS skills tests, and lesson planning etc) looks very daunting right now.

Here is hoping I survive till June 2006, right now I just hope I survive till Christmas!

Well this is my last official day as a stay at home mummy to Morgan, before I embark on my Teacher Training Course with The Suffolk and Norfolk SCITT.

I am excited, apprehensive and yet calm (probably due to a week in Devon last week).
I know that Morgan is ready for nursery yet I still have worries about how he will settle in and whether he will make friends at his nursery school. The same worries apply to me:-
How will I settle in at school? Will the other teachers like me?

Well here begins a new chapter for all of us and this blog will become my outlet and journal on my jounery to hopefully become an effective Science Teacher.
